Some of the best examples of glimpses into the past are provided by the film archives of the Home Movie Era. With local history videos, the inclusion of old movie footage is considered by many to be "icing on the cake". The films of Leon Thomas of Mason City, Iowa and Mr. H.S. Waldorf of Vinton are excellent examples of this genré.
